You can take a taxi to from Luanda city center to go to the Quatro de Fevereiro Airport. If you prefer a cheaper transportation vehicle, there are several different buses operated by both state and private companies. Renting a car is another alternative.

Car Rental

In the city center you can find both world-renowned and local companies. You should remember that renting a car in Luanda is more expensive than usual. In general, the daily cost of a standard car rental starts at 330 Turkish liras. You can reach the Quatro de Fevereiro Airport in about 30 minutes by connecting to the Deolinda Rodrigues Road, following the airport signs, with the car you rent.

Taxi

You will not have any problems finding a taxi in the city center. Almost every taxi can be paid in US dollars as well as Kwanza, the local currency. It takes less than half an hour to reach the airport by taxi from the city center under normal conditions.

Bus

A large number of bus lines departing from the city center and from different points of the city go to Quatro de Fevereiro Airport. You can find out the bus line you should use and its stops from your hotel or from the Tourist Information Center.

Airport Information

Even the full name of the airport is Quatro de Fevereiro Airport, it is more commonly known as Luanda International Airport. The airport hosts many domestic and international flights. The airport is located about 10 km west of the city and welcomes passengers with exchange offices, duty free shops and eating and drinking spots.
