Chisinau, the capital of Moldova, is a large industrial city located along the river Bâc. Chisinau International Airport opens its doors to passengers who want to visit Chisinau, Moldova's most developed and populated city. Chisinau is divided into two main regions, the old part of the city and the new part of the city, which is considered the city center. Stefan cel Mare Street and Stefan cel Mare Park make up the city center. The Chisinau railway station is located in the city center and is the only train station in the city. Despite the presence of railways, urban rail transportation is not provided in the city. Buses are not a very popular method of transportation within the city either.
Trolleybuses and minibuses called "rutiera" are very important methods of public transportation in the city. You need to buy tickets to travel on public transportation vehicles in the city. Once on board you must show your ticket to the ticket collector. You can purchase a single-use ticket or monthly tickets. Monthly tickets are a better option for those who are planning on a longer stay in the city.
Traveling by taxi or rental car are other convenient alternatives in addition to public transportation. You can get to the airport from the city center via private airport shuttles or minibuses. These vehicles depart from the city center, which is accessible via public transportation vehicles from almost any part of the city.
The airport is also accessible via taxi or rental car. Both alternatives provide direct and quick transportation from the city center to the airport.
Chisinau International Airport's own private shuttle provides transportation from the city center to the airport. The route starts at Dimitrie Cantemir Square, and continues to Ştefan cel Mare şi Sfînt Street, C. Negruzzi Street, Yuri Gagarin Street, Decebal Street, Dacia Street, and then ends at the airport.
Minibuses are the most convenient option to get to the airport from the city center. Minibuses cost the same as the airport shuttle services do, however they run more frequently than the shuttle does. Minibuses that provide transportation to the airport run every 10 minutes. Minibus line 165 passes by Ismail Street, Dimitrie Cantemir Street, Yuri Gagarin Ave., Decebal Street, Trandafirilor, and Dacia Ave before arriving at the airport.
Ticket prices are quite affordable but if you have a large suitcase you might have to pay an extra fee. Usually there is an assistant sitting next to the driver. If there is an assistant in the vehicle, and the vehicle does not have an automatic door system, the minibus doors are opened by that assistant.
There aren’t that many designated minibus stops but drivers will usually stop wherever you want to get off. However, according to new legislation issued recently, the driver is technically only allowed to let you off at designated minibus stops. Some minibus lines can travel on more than one route within the city. So it would be beneficial to follow the route display screen on board to understand where the vehicle is going. To hail a minibus in the street, simply raise your hand.
The airport is not directly served by trolleybus from the city center. However, you can access minibus and airport shuttles that travel to the airport by trolleybus. One of the most important means of public transport in Chisinau is by trolleybus.
There are twenty-two trolleybus lines that operate in the city. These lines include, line 1 the str. Bariera Sculeni – str. Sarmizegetusa route, line 4 the Gradina Botanica – str. Zelinski route, line 5 the parcul "La izvor" route, line 17 the Schinossa 1 route, line 20 the str. Dokuceaev route, and line 28 the or. Durlești – bd. Gagarin route, all of which connect with the Chisinau railway station.

Novosibirsk, which is the largest city of the Siberia region in terms of the surface area, is the third most populous city in Russia with one and a half million population. Novosibirsk has a very cold climate and is noted for its weather temperature that may go down to -40 in the winter months.
At the same time, the city, which is highly developed in terms of automotive and mining industry, is one of the leading centers of the world in this respect. The urban transportation is provided by metro, trolleybus, minibus, bus and taxi. However, the metro is the most convenient option for transportation. Considering the cold weather in the city and the streets are covered with snow in the winter, the metro consisting of 12 stations is the best option among the other alternatives for urban transportation. The single-pass train ticket is about 25 rubles; it is also possible to buy tickets for multiple passes as 5 or 60.
For the urban transportation, the city bus is the option that provides the best transportation alternative after metro. The private bus lines provide a faster service compared to the public transportation buses; unlike the public buses, they do not have to depart/stop at the certain stops. The ticket price for public buses is 10 rubles, while the ticket price for private buses may vary ranging from 15 to 35 rubles.

The marshrutka minibuses are so similar to the minibuses in Turkey. The ticket prices vary between 0.3 and 1$ depending on where you want to go in the city. Tramway and trolleybus attract attention as other means of transportation in the city. Trolleybus ticket prices are lower than the bus ticket prices by 8 rubles. One-way tram ticket prices are about 10 rubles.
You can pay for the tickets after getting on the public transportation vehicles. Taking a taxi and renting a car are the easiest yet the most expensive means of transportation in Novosibirsk. You can get a taxi at the taxi ranks on the road or you can call a taxi to wherever you are by contacting the taxi call centers.
