Transportation to Airport from Cusco City Center

Whichever mean of transportation you choose, the journey from Cuzco to the airport would last short. Renting a car and taking a local minibus might be an alternative to taxis, which are most preferred.
Taxi

Airport Information
Velasco Astete Airport, Cuzco's only airport open for flights, offers a large number of different services, although it is not very large. The only terminal building of the airport is two-storey, but there are different shops on each floor. On the first floor of the terminal there is an exchange office where you can exchange Euro, Sterling and Dollar and the ATMs of the biggest banks in Peru. Another spot on this floor is called Snack Bar. Here you can taste different drinks as well as snacks. You can also take advantage of the comfortable seats, free wireless internet and food and beverage service at Club Lounge, which has an entrance fee.
On the second floor of the terminal there is a cafeteria called Cafeteria Aeropuerto which is spread over a very wide area. Here you can taste a wide range of snacks and hot food. You can spend time at the internet café where you can use computers and internet service, or at the book store where many books in different languages are available. This floor also hosts Galeria Latina, The Peruvan and Kuna stores where you can shop.
Transportation to Quito City Center from Airport

Mariscal Sucre Airport is located about 37 km from Quito city center, and the only way to make your journey the most convenient and fastest way is to use the shuttle or city buses, which are the most popular public transportation vehicles. Taxis and car rental services are also ideal alternatives for comfortable transportation. No matter which transportation vehicle you prefer, you can reach Quito city center in maximum of 1.5 hours.
Bus

At Rio Coca Terminal the Consorcio SOTRANOR buses start at 5:30 in the morning until 22:00 in the evening. At Quitumbe Terminal the Consorcio COSIBO buses start at 5:30 in the morning until 19:00, and all depart from the airport terminal exit. In addition to this, Aeroservicios buses also run directly to Quito city center, but are a bit more expensive than the other buses. You can get these buses by paying a fee of around 8 dollars. The biggest reason for the price difference is that the buses provide a larger capacity (46-52 people) and free Internet service. Another distinctive feature is that the buses run 365 days of the year and every hour of the day. The average duration of your bus journey is 1-1,5 hours.
Taxi
When you land at Mariscal Sucre Airport, if you have a lot of luggage or if you are in a hurry you can take one of the taxis that are waiting 24/7 outside the airport terminal. Taxis are quite expensive compared to public transportation but they provide the fastest transportation. When you step out of the airport arrivals terminal, you will find taxi stops.
