Transportation to Airport from Santo Domingo City Center
Las Americas Intl. Airport
It is not possible to directly travel to Las Americas International Airport from the city center by using a means of public transportation. However, you can get to the airport by renting a car or getting on a taxi. In addition, many hotels in the city offer airport shuttle service for their guests.
Car Rental
You can see many car rental companies in the city center. You can seek advice of your hotel in order to find a reliable company. If you don’t rent a car with a driver, you should follow the highway numbered 3 in order to get to Las Americas International Airport. If you are coming from Boca Chica, you should drive westwards for about 12 minutes. If you are coming from Santo Domingo, you should drive eastwards for about 50 minutes.

Las Americas International Airport is located 30 kilometers east of Santo Domingo and 10 kilometers west of Boca Chica. The fare to pay to travel to Port Med by taxi is 300 dirhams and 120 dirhams to travel to the train station. The taxi journey between Ibn Batouta Airport and Tangier city center takes on average 10 minutes.

Since there is no public transportation such as buses that can take you directly to Tangier from the airport, renting a car can be more economical. Before arriving at the airport if you make a pre-reservation and then you will be able to rent your car in minutes with your international status license.
