Transportation to Airport from Shenzhen City Center
Shenzhen Bao'an Intl. Airport
The distance between Shenzhen city center and Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport is not short; however there are enough alternatives for transportation. You can reach the airport comfortably by taking a bus or the metro from Shenzhen city center. You can take a taxi or rent a car if you need a more comfortable transportation option.
Taxi
It is always possible to find a taxi in the city center. All the taxis have a taximeter device and it costs around 100 yen to go to the airport. You should keep in mind that the taxis in Shenzhen have two different colors. You need to take the red taxis that are serving within the city center, and not the green ones serving for long distances and rural areas. Under normal traffic conditions, you should reach Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport from Shenzhen city center in about half an hour.
Car Rental
There are a couple different car rental companies in the city. With the car you rent, you can reach Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport in about 30 minutes by driving in the northwest direction on the G4 highway. Taxi
Another transportation alternative to get to the city center from the airport is by taxi. However, taxis are more expensive than public transportation options and offer the same level of comfort. Public transportation vehicles provide quality service at an affordable price so paying extra for a taxi can be unnecessary.
Rental Car
If you don’t want to use public transportation vehicles, then renting a car is another transportation alternative.
