Located in Texas, United States, Amarillo is the 14th most populated city and the largest city in the state. A portion of the city has extended to the Randall region. According to the 2010 census, the city’s population was around 190 thousand. The city was first established in the Llano Estacado region under the name Oneida. The city has the country’s most productive helium field and has the title of the “Helium Capital of the World”. Also known as “The Yellow Rose of Texas”, the city is one of the nation’s largest meat packing areas. It has a semi-arid climate and daytime temperatures vary.

The Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport is located 16 km east of Amarillo’s business center and is the city’s most common airport.
