Transportation to Airport from Perth City Center

Perth Airport

Perth Airport is a modern facility serving Western Australia. One of the most viable options to reach the airport from the city center is by bus, but one must be aware of the bus schedule and deperature times. Taxis work throughout the day and often carry passengers with an set charge for this particular trip, but can be more expensive. Rental carts and shuttle services are also two useful options. The hotel you are staying at may also provide a service; be sure to call and ask them in advance.  

Rent a car 

You can rent a car in Perth and drive around the city and to the airport with ease. In the city Alamo, Enterprise, Hertz, and Avis are some of the companies available. Renting a car will greatly facilitate your work and travels in Perth and in addition, the rental costs are also generally not too high. Before considering this option, please note that you must have an internationally valid driving license.

Taxis

You can find taxis across the Perth city center. If you are staying in a hotel, you can get support from the front desk in booking a taxi from the hotel. The average price of getting to the airport from the city center via taxi is around 45-50 dollars. However, late night and weekend taxi fares may be slightly higher. If you travel with your family or with heavy luggage, this might be the best option and worth the price. However, taxis are by far the most expensive option, more so than shuttle or bus services. Taxis can also be found outside the Perth city center, in settlements such as Scarborough, the Framantl, Armadale, Joondalup,  and Mandurah.

Shuttle Services

You can use the Connect Shuttle service, which takes off from the city center, to reach Perth Airport as well. The Kings Perth Hotel,  the Western Australian Museum,  the East Perth station, and the Ambassador Hotel are all points of interest that are servced by this shuttle service. The average price is around 15 AUS dollars. 

Bus

Perth International Airport can be reached by bus routes 40 or 380 from the city center. Buses stops are located at the Belmont Forum Shopping Center, Elizabeth Quay Bus Terminal and Burswood Train Station and bring passengers to the airport from the city center. Buses are also the most cost-effective tools that you can use to come to the airport in the city, but if you are in a hurry, taxis might be better.

Hotel Services

Some hotels offer the useful option of hotel shuttle services, but you should call your hotel in advance to see if this option is available. If it is, don't forget to ask about the departure and arrival times.

In order to sample the local flavors of world cuisine in Australia, the airport offers the following dining and drinking options: Haymarket, Poco Loco, Hungry Jack's, Hudsons Coffee Harvest Food Store in Machinet, Red Rooster, Sumo Salad, Subway, The Coffee Club and Toby's Estate.

Transportation to Dublin City Center from Airport

Dublin Airport

Dublin is also known as "the capital not only of Ireland but also the literature" since it is the hometown of the famous literature figures such as James Joyce, Bernard Shaw, and Jack London. The airport is only 10 kilometers north of the city.

Metro

It is possible to get to Parnell Square and O'Connell in the city center by the metro line called "Northern Metro" from the airport.

The metro which departs from the ground floor of the airport terminals reaches the station in Parnell Square and O’Connell/Abbey St. stations in O'Connell in half an hour. The buses departing from the Parnell Square, which is a big park, provide transportation service to all parts of the city as well as they offer transfer option to the rail system lines, especially to the south and east lines, through the metro stations.

Airport Buses

Dublin Airport, which is the most important airport in the Republic of Ireland, is also the busiest airport in Ireland together with Belfast Airport. Both airports serve the people on the entire island and the buses carry passengers between the airport and the various regions. The private shuttle buses of Air Link and Air Coach companies provide transportation service between the airport and Dublin city center.

Buses depart every 15 or 30 minutes. The buses of both companies go up to O'Connell.

City Buses

It is also possible to reach the city center from the airport by city buses. You can get to Parnell Square in 25 minutes by bus number 747, which departs every 20 minutes from the airport.

In addition, the buses 16, 16C, 33, 41 and 41C departing from the airport will also take you to various points at Parnell Square.

Taxi

It takes about 20 minutes to reach O'Connell in the city center by taxi departing from the gates of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.

Rent a car

There are 8 car rental offices at the airport. You can rent a car from these car rental offices, three of which operate on pre-booking system. Once you rent a car, all you need to do is to take the Swords Road to reach the city center. Then you should drive through the Coolock road and take the "City Center – Dublin Port" turning and head to Parnell Square. This road will lead you directly to O'Connell.
